Whether you want to buy data or sell data one of the biggest pain points in transacting data between companies is to get the two legal departments to agree on the terms of use. Together with our legal firm Olswang we have created two standard End-User License Agreements for vendors to select from to make it easier and quicker to listing in our data marketplace. We do have the third option for organizations who already have their EULA's ready - they can upload to our platform and use that as the binding agreement between themselves and the buyer.
Three Options for the End-User License Agreement
When listing a data product, vendors have three choices of End-User Licenses between them and the buyer. It is important to understand, DataStreamX is not a re-seller of data, all licenses are between the vendor and buyer, giving the vendor control on how people use and purchase their data products.
Standard EULA details
Subject to the terms of this Standard EULA, the Vendor grants to the Buyer a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable, worldwide, license to:

Access, store, view and manipulate the Data Product, create derived data and combine or mix the Data Product with other data;

Distribute the Data Product internally and use the Data Product for internal purposes; and
-
resell or distribute the Data Product (but not in its original format or in a substantially similar format).

Restricted EULA details
Subject to the terms of this Restricted EULA, the Vendor grants to the Buyer a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable, worldwide, license to:

access, store, view and manipulate the Data Product, create derived data and combine or mix the Data Product with any other data; and
-
distribute the Data Product internally and use the Data Product for internal purposes.
The key difference here is that Buyer's are not authorized to resell your data in any format. Although we do not recommend this option as it will great decrease the amount of buyers for your product (Ex. A company couldn't use this for improvements to their existing product, or a consulting firm couldn't buy you data to help with client projects)

Vendor Supplied
For companies already with a EULA, you can upload it during the product registration. Although we recommend using one of the standard agreements to help our repeat data buyers understand the terms, we understand how a vendor's legal department may wish to keep with the established EULA.
